** Note: Not Taking New Clients at this time **
I work with individuals and small businesses to help create content and build simple and effective websites at affordable prices.
A selection of custom-built websites
Project Brief: Refresh an existing WordPress website with the aim of showcasing the client’s latest book and shared resources.
Outcomes: With my design team, we designed a new logo and branding to complement the style of the client’s latest book. We then redesigned the website, including streamlining the user experience to simplify and enhance website navigation. All blog images were updated to enhance the visual appeal of the blog. The project was delivered on time and on budget.
Project Brief: Design a website to showcase research and client services.
Outcomes: Worked with Dr Toby Newstead to design a website and branding philosophy that reflects her connection to place and showcases her academic achievements and consulting services. The project was delivered on time and on budget.
Project Brief: A small business required a new website to showcase their new business venture.
Outcomes: I spent the weekend camped in my campervan (office) at the client’s premises so we could discuss the site as it was being built to ensure it was achieving their goals. The website was built from the ground up in WordPress.
Project Brief: Create a website to feature educational videos, downloadable case studies, and teaching resources aimed at tackling the issue of under-participation of women in the STEM sector.
Outcomes: Design and launch of the website, including the creation of templates for downloadable case studies and teaching notes for use in classrooms. Design of a logo, illustrations, style guide, and video editing. Hosting and domain name registration. Project delivered on time and on budget.
Project Brief: Create a new look and feel to refresh Research Degree Insiders blog. Develop a navigation system to order the huge library of blog posts for improved site experience.
Outcomes: Created a new style guide for the website – colours, fonts, images – and used existing blog categories and tags to custom build navigation menus to enhance the user experience. Delivered on time and on budget.
Project Brief: Design a website to help promote ‘Academic Writing Retreats’, a business that runs writing retreats for academics in Ubud, Indonesia.
Outcomes: We created this website from the ground up, including the design of all branding elements. The website provides simple navigation, contact forms, venue information, and aims to draw the user into the experience of being at the retreat through stunning photography.
Project Brief: Refresh existing WordPress website, including integrating e-commerce functionality.
Outcomes: We created a new look and feel for the website, and provided advice on, and implementation of, e-commerce solutions to help the client sell educational magazines and branded merchandise. Project delivered on time and on budget.
